Together with DansBrabant, Makershuis Tilburg is organising another Makers Sessions this spring. A programme featuring old and new Makershuis makers, PLAN makers and/or makers who are close to us in other ways.

Alienated has been organising dance training for pros for some time. They do this mostly in-house at DansBrabant, and together with Jelena Kostić, we are looking into how to ensure Alienated can continue these training sessions in a sustainable way.
We would therefore like to map out who needs training, what they would like etc. It is important to obs that as many people as possible fill it in. It only takes 5 minutes and it helps Alienated move forward and improve the platform at the same time!
Your input will give us a clearer picture of how many people are interested, what is needed, when and which classes we should offer. This means your answers will have a direct impact on the programme.
An evening of dance, music and art, where everyone is welcome to experiment, discover or just enjoy.
Club Jam brings together dancers, musicians, circus artists, spoken word performers, visual artists and audiences. We clear the floor to jam together or watch the beautiful convergence of dance, music and all other art forms.
This edition is hosted by Abel Ton and Frann Schollaert, who have been present from the first Jam. Together they provide a strong start in which we explore how dance and music find each other. After that, it's up to you - whether you want to participate or watch - to be surprised by what emerges in the moment.
This evening works with a Pay What You Want system, to keep it accessible to everyone. There will be QR codes and a jar to pay, this can be done throughout the evening. We'd love to see you there!
For Karel Tuytschaever's new fiction film BURNING EYES, we are looking for extras (without text), aged between 18 and 40, for two different scenes. Everyone is welcome to apply, regardless of background, body type or abilities.
This spring, come dance, move, play/act, meet and chat with other women from Tilburg. Feniks and DansBrabant organise movement and play classes accessible to all ages, levels and bodies. In this women's community, we make ourselves strong, inspire each other and have fun. Women among each other!
'This is exactly what I'm looking for,' Anthony van Gog thought when he saw dancer Evangelos Biskas moving. 'He has a very elastic way of moving,' Van Gog says. 'There is an extreme power in his movements, but also suppleness and elasticity. Like a kind of tornado, he can throw his body through space.'

OPEN LETTER: 'A vision for the dance field is needed now'
In recent weeks, the results of the culture sector's multi-year grants have been announced. These results cause major changes in our beloved dance sector. Many well-known and well-run companies received nothing or only part of it.
Summer is in full swing and the rush has slowly subsided. After the results of the multi-year grants and many great events in early 2024, it is also time for DansBrabant to catch its breath and take a holiday. While part of the team is on holiday, our studios are well stocked with well-known makers working or new makers in residence with us.
Do you need an occasional flex-workplace with a table, chair, some human contact and warmth? Then you've come to the right place at our Club Flex. From January, we will open the doors of our club to anyone who wants to flex-work.
