For his new fiction film, Karel Tuytschaever is looking for a few more performers (actors, dancers, and other performing artists) who are attracted to a body-oriented work process that focuses on genuine physicality.
Motus Sonus is an interdisciplinary project curated by two Netherlands-based artists: dancer and choreographer Alesya Dobysh and music composer Max Frimout. Their research explores the interplay between movement, sound and space. Besides the influence of the artists involved, the space and the ever-changing acoustics of the room play a role in the final form.
From 20 June to 11 September 2024, PLANmaker Anthony van Gog was in residence at the EKWC (European Ceramic Work Centre) in Oisterwijk, where artists can experiment with ceramics as an art form during a three-month stay.

Delphine loves flamingos-ask her, and chances are she is wearing her favourite socks with flamingos! Originally from the city of Ghent, she now lives in Vught, bringing her closer to her favourite amusement park the Efteling.
On 15 September was the Gala of Dutch Theatre. On this evening, the VSDC Drama Awards were presented, including the mime/performance award. Courtney May Robertson won this fine award for her latest performance HUNTER.
After more than 10 years, our director Wim van Stam bade farewell to DansBrabant on 1 August. He was the face of the organisation for many years, starting in 2014 with founder Heleen Volman. Then together with Lisa Reinheimer, and in recent years with Nienke Rooijakkers.

In recent weeks, the results of the culture sector's multi-year grants have been announced. These results cause major changes in our beloved dance sector. Many well-known and well-run companies received nothing or only part of it.
Summer is in full swing and the rush has slowly subsided. After the results of the multi-year grants and many great events in early 2024, it is also time for DansBrabant to catch its breath and take a holiday. While part of the team is on holiday, our studios are well stocked with well-known makers working or new makers in residence with us.

SPRING Performing Arts Festival is a 10-day international festival of innovative dance, theatre, performance and more in the city of Utrecht. This year, the festival takes place from 23 May to 1 June. In a special section, OFFSPRING, the festival showcases four making processes for audiences curious about new developments in the performing arts. Experience brand new work; meet, react and exchange with (new) peers, makers and audiences. On 27 May, Ghaliah Conroy will show her new work in a Double Bill with Aina Roca.
At DansBrabant, we rent out two studios and a beautiful club.
- BlackStudio: This is a studio with white walls, a black ballet floor, dark grodines, a basic lighting and sound system. There is no daylight in this studio.
- WhiteStudio: This is a studio with white walls, a grey ballet floor, a basic lighting and sound system. There is natural light in this studio.
- Club Soda: This space has a few tables, chairs, a beamer and a small bar. This space can be used for meetings, small events and as a flex workspace.
