Anthony van Gog residence
at work at DansBrabant
From 10 to 21 November 2025, Anthony van Gog will be at DansBrabant. From the Witte Studio, he will work with the performers and take the first steps towards his latest work: The quiet.
Monday 10 November 2025
The quiet will be an interdisciplinary performance at the interface of movement, light and sound. A performance about the transience and intimacy of the body. An attempt to embrace the body again in all its unruliness. In a world where the body seems malleable and exposed to all possible opinions, we sometimes get lost. What happens when we simply let the body be? What reveals itself in the silence that then arises? A theatrical still life in motion. In which Anthony radically opts for the unfiltered, unfinished and uncontrollable body. An intimate interplay with three performers, a set of movingheads and a sound explosion of details.
Anthony van Gog (Riemst, 1996) graduated from the Performance course at the Toneelacademie Maastricht in 2019. His work moves at the interface between theatre and performance art, allowing body, sound and space to play a game over and over again. In addition to his artistic practice, Anthony is pursuing a master's degree in Philosophy at the University of Antwerp.
Anthony works for The quiet with lighting designer Erik van de Wijdeven, sound designer Boris de Klerk and performers Tim Bogaerts, Frann Schollaert and Ray Lemmens. A production by DansBrabant in co-production with WArd/waRD, supported by PLAN Brabant.
