SKYPUNCH COLLECTIVE
SKYPUNCH COLLECTIVE and DansBrabant have been joining forces since 2025. This collaboration started with the immersive installation SomeBodies, an interactive experience that premiered at Best Kept Secret Festival. In addition, DansBrabant nominated them to participate in the Virtual Residencies of the Dutch Dance Days in October 2025.
SKYPUNCH COLLECTIVE is the multidisciplinary performance collective of Anna Zurkirchen and Celine Werkhoven. With a strong grounding in the language of dance, they explore combinations of movement, scenography and audiovisual elements. Together with their fascination with human perception and perception, this leads to sensory-stimulating performances and live experiences, which find their place in different environments - from traditional theatre to natural landscapes and from video installations to public spaces. Playfully balancing between the surreal and the real, the makers create hybrid works that seek ways to challenge and expand the spectator's perception.
Anna Zurkirchen (born 1991) is a Brussels-based Swiss dancer, creator and practitioner of the Ilan Lev method. Since obtaining her bachelor's degree in dance in the Netherlands (2017) at the Fontys School of Fine and Performing Arts, she has collaborated with several national and international choreographers, such as Katja Heitmann and Tanztheater Rigolo. She creates her own work both independently and within SKYPUNCH COLLECTIVE and Kollektiv Schaflos.
Celine Werkhoven (1990) is a dancer, voice artist and maker with a penchant for movement, sound and visual work. She graduated from the Fontys School of Fine and Performing Arts (BA Modern Dance Theatre, 2012) and has since performed with a wide range of companies and choreographers, including Voetvolk/Lisbeth Gruwez (BE), Katja Heitmann (NL), De Nationale Opera and Oper Köln (DE). In recent years, she has increasingly focused on her own artistic language, both independently and within SKYPUNCH COLLECTIVE.
