Workshop day with Mind in Movement & Linde Wagemakers

Alienated organises workshops and classes to boost the dance field in Tilburg and the surrounding area. This year, we offer monthly workshops with choreographers from the (local) field. In April, we invite Mind in Movement and Linde Wagemakers to share her practice and knowledge with us!

guided to refine their clarity in movement and experience shifts in energy.

About Mind in Movement
Sophie and Carmine are dancers and choreographers from Rotterdam. Sophie, originally from the Netherlands, graduated in Contemporary Urban from Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten. She has performed with Conny Janssen Danst and worked with choreographers such as Conny Janssen and Astrid Boons. She currently freelances with ISH Dance Collective, where she can be seen in productions such as Dorian and Amsterdam 750 in collaboration with Het Nationale Ballet Amsterdam.
Carmine, from Italy, graduated from Codarts Hogeschool voor de Kunsten and danced with Conny Janssen Danst from 2021 to 2024. He danced in works by Conny Janssen, Zino Schat and Fubunation. As a solo choreographer, he created The Space Between, presented at Solo Tanz Theater Festival Stuttgart and soon to be seen at Tilburg in Motion.

In 2021, they founded their own collective, Mind in Movement. Their debut piece, Calling Myself, won 1st prize at the Dutch Choreography Competition 2022. In 2023, with support from ISH Dance Collective, they created Strings of Conformity, performed at ISH's Open Podium event. Their latest work, Beyond 26, premiered at Essenziale Festival 2024 in Essen and will be shown at C10 Fest, Move Off and MittleYoung in Italy.

Besides creating and performing, they give workshops at institutions such as Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, Folkwang Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, Conny Janssen Danst and Studio Monad.

Workshop by Linde Wagemakers
In Linde's practice as a teacher, she guides you through different dynamics by diving into your own emotional archive. You will find continuity both in movement and in the journey you experience the moment you enter class. The workshop begins with an improvisation-based warm-up, which moves into a mix of existing material and material she creates on the spot, drawing on the energy that has accumulated in the space.

About Linde
Linde is a young dance artist based in Amsterdam. She has worked with various choreographers and companies such as Anne Suurendonk, Poetic Disasters Club (Club Guy & Roni/NNT) and young choreographers such as Niek Wagenaar and Collectief MAMM. She has created several national and international works such as 'Time of my life' and 25/7′ which she made in Casablanca Morocco in collaboration with Hanane Soltani.

There is no refund policy for the workshop; however, you can resell your ticket to someone else.
