The quiet @ Frog Experiments
Anthony van Gog
During Kikker Experimenteert, makers at Theatre Kikker in Utrecht show what they are working on and ask for feedback from the audience. With in this edition: Anthony van Gog and Faizah Grootens.
Faizah Grootens explores for a week at Kikker how our environment influences our behaviour. Anthony van Gog makes the invisible tangible with an ingenious scenography of invisible microphones.
The quiet - Anthony van Gog
May 2026 will see the latest work by Anthony van Gog, The quiet, premiering at International performing arts festival SPRING. As part of his making process, Anthony shares his sound research for this performance with the audience at Kikker Experiment. What happens when we no longer force the body to perform, but simply let it be? In The quiet the smallest movements of sleeping, dreaming or dying bodies are magnified into a sensory experience. The quietest movements of the body-fever, chills, insomnia, agitation, fatigue-are here not merely shown, but experienced.
UNWRITTEN- Faizah Grootens
UNWRITTEN is a Work In Progress, an in-between place on the way to something new. Starting from a physical sensibility, choreographer Faizah Grootens explores with Justin Brown and Matheus Moreira how our environment affects our behaviour. And how that manifests itself in physical embodiment. They explore how sincere presence, honesty and temperament come together.
Next season, Faizah will take this exploration into the development of a new work within Korzo theatre, which will tour nationwide.
