Lesson: Flying low by Hellen Boyko
Floorwork classes based on David Zambrano's technique. Flying Low is about using spirals to move up and down the floor, through space and through the body. Flying Low classes reconnect you with your inner child and connect you with those around you. This technique is an intensive training, but also a very inspiring way of life.

Hellen (NL/RU) is a contemporary dancer, a graduate of ArtEZ and currently based in Rotterdam. She has collaborated with choreographers such as Caroline Finn, Chokri Ben Chikha, Felix Landerer, Kwame Asafo Adjei, Nicole Beutler, Sophie Mayeux, Nadine Gerspacher, George Reischl, Michal Freriks and others. Besides dancing in projects, she assisted Roser Lopez Espinosa and the NEON collective and trained for several years with David Zambrano Passing Through and Flying Low.

“I like to work with a performer's combination of theatricality and technique, showing their personality through the embodiment of a specific statement, idea or desire. In each work, I want both the performers and the audience to experience the real world through abstraction, movement and symbols to underline the subtext of our existence.”

For the past five years, I have been a member of Lazy Susan & Co. a collective based in Rotterdam. Together with my colleagues Alice Gioria and Iris Boer, we realise artistic projects: fundraising, producing and creating.
