Lesson: Countertechnique by Marina Bilterijst
"Countertechnique gives you more freedom of movement, makes you more aware of your body and helps you use its full potential. Countertechnique enables dancers to safely pursue a lifelong dance career. I like to create an atmosphere in class where I share knowledge and tools so that dancers can explore technique in their own way and at their own pace." - Marina Bilterijst

Marina was born in the Netherlands and currently lives in Breda, having lived in New York City and Amsterdam for several years. She was introduced to Countertechnique while studying at Codarts/Rotterdam Dance Academy in 2010 and attended the intensive One Body One Career course in 2018, 2019 and 2020, before successfully completing the Countertechnique Teacher Training in 2020. Marina followed her second Countertechnique Teacher Training in 2024.

Marina has been a professional dancer since 2013. After an internship with Scapino Ballet Rotterdam, Marina lived in New York, where she worked at Nimbus Dance Works. Since 2017, Marina has been a dancer at De Châtel Sur Place in Amsterdam, under the direction of choreographer Krisztina de Châtel.
