FUTOUR

FUTOUR is a site-specific, interactive dance performance that reflects on the connection between people and their environment, exploring the tension between the artificial and the natural, and between the futuristic and the ancient. The performance invites audiences to pause for a moment and take in their surroundings by offering a moving collection of surprising perspectives.

Six figures with reflective faces and long hair appear and move curiously through the space, reflecting the architecture and surroundings around them. The dancers’ movements connect the performance space with the audience and create collages of historical and futuristic visions in the here and now.
As the group moves through the space like a swarm, the creatures form a single organism that constantly splits and rejoins to discover new patterns. Gradually, they become connected by a shared pulse, leading to increasingly synchronised movements. Their dance is accompanied by a raw and energetic soundtrack blending tribal and industrial sounds.

SKYPUNCH COLLECTIVE is the interdisciplinary performance collective founded by Anna Zurkirchen and Celine Werkhoven. Rooted in the language of dance, they create hybrid works that combine movement, scenography and audiovisual elements to explore themes of intimacy, perception and identity.

Their fascination with human sensations results in performances and live experiences that stimulate the senses, set in a variety of settings – from traditional theatres to natural landscapes, video installations and public spaces. Playfully balancing between the surreal and the real, they seek ways to challenge and broaden the audience’s perception.
