Lesson: FloorFlow by Djamila Ploeg

In this floor-based class, we dive into using the senses, where softness becomes a gateway to strength. The class focuses on working with the body's natural structure to harness energy and momentum, creating a fluid, continuous flow. In this class, you will find both floor work (improvisation and fixed material) and handstand training. The emphasis is on allowing the body to move freely, while building strength and awareness from within.

About Djamila Ploeg
Djamila is a dancer, creator and teacher. She graduated from Fontys Dance Academy in 2022 and has since worked
as a dancer with companies such as Pollif Projects, Nicole Beutler Projects, the100hands and others. As a maker, Djamila has
her solo Today I already turned 25 developed, a work rooted in floor work and performed at Theatre Festival Boulevard, Festival Circolo and other venues.

With a strong foundation in floor work, Djamila began developing her own teaching format, Floorflow, driven by an interest in how breath can support and direct movement. Since then, she has expanded the practice, with floor and flow central to the lesson. Djamila teaches Floorflow to both dance students and professionals and has taught classes at Alienated The Studio, Studio Monad and Dansplaats Arnhem.
